Вить веревки

Meaning (значение):

to twist someone around one’s little finger
(lit. – to twist the ropes)

Examples (примеры):

  1. Он абсолю́тно бесхара́ктерный, из него́ верёвки мо́жно вить.
    He is absolutely spineless, you can twist him around your little finger.
  2. Он влюблён в неё по у́ши, а она́ из него́ верёвки вьёт.
    He fell head over heels in love with her (He is in love with her up to his ears), and she is twisting him around her little finger.
